My name is Tyler Leary and I graduated this year from Northeastern University with a BS in Biology. Through Northeastern’s co-op program, I began working in animal care as an intern in the bird department at the Franklin Park Zoo and as an aquarist with the penguin colony at the New England Aquarium. My interest in veterinary medicine then led me to Angell Animal Medical Center where I worked as a diagnostic imaging assistant. Each experience solidified my desire to work with endangered species while also advocating for their conservation. With graduation approaching, the MCM program caught my eye as it combines many different disciplines I enjoyed as an undergrad and presents numerous learning opportunities in the world of conservation. In my free time I enjoy gardening, tackling DIY projects, baking, eating delicious food, and hanging out with my golden retriever Willow, cat Oreo, and pet fish!
