Hails from California
B.S. in Public Health
San Diego State University, 2020
Before entering the MS-IDGH program, I was in California getting my undergraduate degree. I graduated in May 2020 from San Diego State University with my B.S. in public health. I became interested in infectious disease through the public health and biology courses I took. The epidemiology and molecular and cellular biology courses I took gave me the opportunity to explore this potential career path and inspired me to apply to the MS-IDGH program. After completion of the program, I want to find new vaccines and treatments for diseases, infectious and chronic. I want to work for a company that genuinely wants to help others. I am excited to learn at Tufts University and be able to start helping others in just one year. Outside school, I love hiking, running, and painting. During quarantine, I have been very into paint-by-number kits, and my parents have framed the three that I painted. I don’t have any pets, but I would like to adopt a black Labrador retriever after I complete school.
