Why did you choose to pursue this degree, and why did you choose Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine to pursue this degree?

My name is Coriander Tighe. I am from Framingham, Massachusetts. I graduated from Regis College in 2023 with a bachelor’s degree in biology. I currently work part time in the Boston Children's Hospital Zebrafish Lab where I help feed and care for the fish being used in research protocols. I have always had a strong interest in the field of infectious disease which led me to the Tufts IDGH program. As far as my hobbies, I currently have two dog terrier mixes. They are 11y and 14y. I enjoy walking and hiking and on days with bad weather love to sit on the couch with my dogs and read or watch tv.

What are your career goals after completing the program?

In the future I hope to follow my interest and work in the medical field with a focus in emerging zoonotic disease and antimicrobial resistance.
