Texas A&M University, 2019
My name is Nitika Sansgiry. I graduated in May of 2019 with my Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M University. I have a heavy interest in microbiology and zoonotic diseases. I plan to earn my DVM and hopefully go on to work with wildlife—particularly elephants. I enjoy reading, drawing, and traveling in my spare time. I was just in South Africa, where I learned the importance of proper protection when working with zoonotic diseases as I contracted ringworm from baby tigers. I have one dog at home, whom I have had for 13 years. I am excited to delve deeper into infectious diseases as they relate to humans and animals on a global scale.
