Next we have Natalie Bauer, MCM’19, “My name is Natalie Bauer, and I just graduated from Emory University with a BS in Biology and a minor in Spanish. In the past I’ve worked at the Audubon Nature Institute in New Orleans as an Animal Ambassador and at the Amphibian Foundation as a co-founder of the Copperhead Project. I also did research at the Yerkes National Primate Center. I helped edit the eye tracking videos for our Autism study, while also taking care of the Rhesus Macaques in our facility. I have always been interested in working with animals, but throughout college realized I had a strong desire to include the environmental aspect into my range of interests. I like how the MCM program focuses on combining human health, animal health, and the environment since all three components rely on each other. I was hoping the MCM program would lead me in the right direction of a career in wildlife conservation. Along with probably everyone in this program, I really enjoy being outdoors. This includes most activities like hiking, kayaking, and biking, but my favorite is definitely walking my dog, Peanut.”
