Hails from Puerto Rico
University of Puerto Rico at Mayagüez, 2019
My name is Natalia Rubi Cid Hernández. I am from Puerto Rico. In May 2019, I graduated with a BS in Animal Science combined with Pre-Veterinary medicine from the University of Puerto Rico at Mayagüez. My desire to study infectious disease started in 2017 while on a dairy cattle internship. I find it very important for me to not only learn about the diseases, but also, be able to prevent them and raise awareness. After completing the program, I aspire to continue studies in the veterinary field. Before entering the MS-IDGH, I was the treasurer of the Pre-Veterinary Association and volunteer in multiple veterinary clinics. Outside the academic profile, I love to spend time with my family and do adventurous activities. I have a friendly personality, love to laugh, and love to spend time in the movie theater. I have two female rescued dogs, a dachshund and a Puerto-Rican mix.
