Everything took off once I started the MCM program; it tied together all my previous experiences. The skill set, education, and amazing mentoring I received from the program gave me the best preparation for my present research and collaboration!
Though I had various related experiences, my non-traditional education in medicine and science was a barrier to being considered for the jobs I really wanted. Tufts gave me the opportunity to dive into researching the topics I had worked with in the past, develop a case study investigating the potential One Health impacts of intensive agricultural, intern in Vellore, India at the Christian Medical Center to establish environmental Vibrio cholerae surveillance, participate in valuable research projects on campus, and gain important research positions with organizations.
I am now pursuing my PhD in Molecular Evolution in Systems Biology at the University of New Hampshire. While I worked hard to get here, I firmly believe that none of this would have happened without the amazingly unique education and support I received during my time with the MCM program.
