M.S. in Animals and Public Policy (MAPP) Candidate 2022

B.A., Pre-Veterinary Science, Umass Amherst

What were you doing before entering the M.S. in Animals and Public Policy (MAPP) program?
Attending Umass Amherst getting my B.A. in Pre-veterinary Science

What aspects of MAPP led to your decision to join the program?
I liked the public policy portion of the program; I was already interested in animal welfare and since I want to go to law school I thought this program would be interesting and helpful for my future.

Interests in and experience with animals
I did sheep and goat management at Umass Amherst. I am not interested in a group of animals specifically; I want to work so that I can work with all animals.

What do you want to focus on at MAPP?
I want to focus on animal and human behavior.

What are your career goals?
Hopefully in the future i can become an Animal welfare lawyer or at least work somewhere where i can contribute to laws and regulations having to do with animals.

What are your outside interests?
I like to play video games and I love children. I also love children, I spent most of my summers working as a Youth Development specialist for the boys and girls club. Not only that, but I also love languages, I am pretty good at German, and I am learning Korean.

Number of pets? What type?
I have one Cat names Luna
