My name is Liana DeNino, I am from, Greensburg, PA just outside of Pittsburgh. In 2018 earned my B.S. in Environmental Science at Baylor University. There, I was a research assistant studying urban lead pollution in Dallas, TX. After graduating, I took time to travel to Tanzania, Kenya and Italy visiting extended family. Once I returned, I worked as a wildlife rehabilitation intern at Humane Animal Rescue Wildlife Center located near Pittsburgh. I was very excited when I discovered the MCM program because of its focus on the One Health approach to environmental issues, a concept I could see firsthand in my research and internship experience. Once I complete the program, I plan to pursue a career in a research or educational field. In my free time, I was a member of the club rowing team at Baylor. I also pursued my passion for running, working part time at a local run specialty store as well as completing my first full marathon. I also enjoy spending time with my Maine Coon cat Sampson.
