The University of Mary Washington, 2017
My name is Julie Arnold and I graduated from The University of Mary Washington with a B.S in biology in 2017. For the past couple of years. I have been working as a research associate at Takeda Pharmaceuticals. There I worked in the Drug Safety department, running In-Vivo toxicology studies. I also was the designated trainer for mouse and rat technical skills. Although I really enjoyed my job, I wanted to pursue an MS-IDGH in order to advance my career. Although I am not entirely convinced what my career goals are, my main ideas are to pursue a job making vaccines or potentially working for the state health department as a microbiologist. My free time is usually spent outside swimming and playing golf or watching a Netflix show that I’ve seen a thousand times. I’m very excited for this year and am looking forward to meeting everyone!
