Hails from Massachusetts
Assumption College, 2018
My name is Dominique Shepard. I earned my undergraduate degree in Biology from Assumption College in 2018. Over the past few years, I have worked in several veterinary hospitals including Tufts Foster Hospital for Small Animals in the Emergency and Critical Care department at Tufts Foster Hospital for Small Animals. My long-term goal is to achieve my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. Veterinary clinicians often care for patients with infectious diseases, so it is critical to understand animal pathogens in relation to both animal and public health. I believe the MS-IDGH program will strengthen my foundation in research techniques and help prepare me for vet school in the future. I currently have one pet named Goldie, and she is a very sassy guinea pig! Outside of caring for animals, I enjoy listening to music, hiking, traveling, cooking, and exercising. I am very excited to start the MS-IDGH program!
