Hails from Connecticut
Eastern Connecticut State University, 2018
My name is Aaron Olk, I graduated from Eastern Connecticut State University in 2018 with a B.S. in Health Sciences. I have worked as a first responder for the past decade and currently work as a paramedic in Simsbury, CT. I recently returned to the United States after spending seven months in the Philippines with the Peace Corps. As a Peace Corps Response Volunteer, I worked as an Emergency Medical Service Technical Advisor and helped enhance local disaster preparedness. The MS-IDGH program attracts me because of its diverse curriculum focusing on infectious disease in a global context. I hope to pursue a career in international humanitarian aid and outbreak response. During my free time I enjoy mountain biking, SCUBA diving, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
